Specialist Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)
Posted 02 January 2024 by SueHallam Medical has a remote-working opportunity for Specialist Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) to support a NHS 111 Service.
This is a great opportunity to join our team as a specialist Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner in supporting the Out of Hours service and their NHS 111 service which is currently providing a remote-working Paediatric Clinical Assessment Service (PCAS) across the UK.
This is a highly specialised role which delivers clinical advice to under 16’s and their parents/carers via remote telephone triage to help divert avoidable emergency department presentations and reduce Emergency Department, Ambulance and Primary Care dispositions.
The PCAS service is live between 16:00-22:00, 7 days a week and shifts can be offered on a flexible locum basis to suit your needs.

To apply for this role:
- Registered with a relevant body, e.g. GMC, NMC, other DBS
- Significant, demonstrated experience in supporting paediatric patients
- All clinicians working in PCAS must have completed Safeguarding Level 3 training and be able to prescribe
- All clinicians working in PCAS should have completed their qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice
- Recent professional paediatric experience
- Triage experience
- Experience of dealing with emotionally charged situations
